Welcome !

The New Mexico Liquor Control Act established the Alcohol Server Education program in 1993, which mandates that every liquor licensee or lessee who manages, directs or controls the sale or service of alcohol and all servers who sell, serve or dispense alcoholic beverages for consumption on or off the licensed premises must satisfactorily complete an alcohol server program every three years.

Elizabeth Montoya Findling, Owner of Southwest Training Services has been certified by the Alcohol & Gaming Division to conduct Alcohol Server Training and Certification classes throughout New Mexico. Elizabeth has taken an active role in assisting the State to develop and refine class material to come up with an excellent curriculum and workbook to be used throughout the State.

Because of the upsurge of negative publicity regarding drinking and driving, the public is demanding more responsible liquor service. Southwest Training Services is committed through its educational program to enhance the professionalism of persons employed in the alcoholic beverage service industry by encouraging them to SERVE ALCOHOL RESPONSIBILY!

Our classes provide all the state-required training, including the discussion of alcohol-related issues, server intervention techniques, methods for checking identification and state laws and regulations concerning the sale and service of alcohol, liquor liability issues and driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor.

Southwest Training Services conducts most of their classes in Santa Fe; and also provides training on a monthly basis in Los Alamos, Espanola and in Las Vegas. We conduct on-site training throughout the northern part of New Mexico. Volume discounts are given for on-site training.

We are authorized to issue temporary server permits to people who successfully complete our class. With a temporary server permit, the server can immediately sell and/or serve alcoholic beverages. To get your Server certification to you quickly, we hand-deliver the applications and test results to New Mexico Alcohol & Gaming Division.

We hope that you will choose to get your alcohol server certification through Southwest Training Services. Thank you for visiting our website!
